Hawaii Water Service announced Wednesday that it has received approval from the state Utilities Commission to acquire the assets of HOH Utilities, LLC, bringing the utility closer to the facility of its Kauai operations. .
HOH Utilities is a wastewater treatment utility in the growing Poipu and Koloa area of Kauai. With the acquisition, Hawaii Water will own and operate the utility, which currently serves nearly 1,800 residential, commercial and resort customers, including three hotels, condominiums, multi-family units, a golf course and single-family homes. The sale remains subject to customary closing conditions.
