The Tinley Park Village Board of Directors met on Tuesday for their regular meeting at the Village Hall. Highlights include:
- Deputy Chiefs: The village council has appointed and sworn in Lawrence Rafferty (third photo above) as deputy chief of police operations and Thomas Tilton (fourth photo) as deputy chief of police administration. Lawrence proudly served the Cook County Sheriff’s Police for over 28 years and Thomas served with the United States Secret Service for 26 years as a leader in law enforcement, security and d ‘investigation. - Other appointments: The village council also appointed Parker Bogdan and David Mills as maintenance technicians, Pamela Ardagh as administrative assistant to the police chief and Michael Coleman as building manager. Congratulations to everyone and welcome aboard!
- Fire Prevention Week: Council passed a resolution recognizing Fire Prevention Week in the village from October 3-9. Acting chef Steve Klotz gave a presentation encourage residents to eliminate fire hazards that can cause loss of life, property and resources. Fire Prevention Week always coincides with the anniversary of the Great Chicago Fire of 1871.
- Business Spotlight: The Village Council featured Weichert Realtors and Mucci World as part of their ongoing Tinley Park Business Series.
