Mandaviya lays foundation stones for various health facilities in Aiims Patna


NEW DELHI : Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya laid foundation stones for various health facilities at AIIMS Patna and inaugurated the medical institute’s state-of-the-art auditorium on Sunday.

The foundation stones were laid in the presence of senior officials from AIIMS Patna and the Government of Bihar.

Manadvaiya is on his three-day visit to Bihar to launch a host of products in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.

“Inauguration of state-of-the-art auditorium and laying of foundation stone of various facilities at AIIMS Patna, Bihar,” Mandaviya tweeted.

“AIIMS, Patna not only provides patient treatment to Bihar residents but also provides medical education to students. AIIMS Patna ensures accessible and affordable health services to its people,” Mandaviya said while addressing the gathering at the event.

Meanwhile, Mandaviya also inaugurated the Food Standard Safety Authority of India (FSSAI) National Food Laboratory at Raxaul. This facility was commissioned under a bilateral Indo-Nepal agreement to reduce the testing time of imported food samples brought to Raxaul from Nepal.

In addition, the Minister of Health interacted with the beneficiaries of the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) diet and also distributed Ayushman cards.

“Today, the second day of my visit to Bihar, during the launch program of the FSSAI National Food Laboratory in Raxaul, I interacted with the beneficiaries of the Ayushman Bharat program and also distributed Ayushman cards. Health Minister @mangalpandeybjp and State President @sanjayjaiswalMP of Bihar were present,” Mandaviya informed in a tweet.

On Saturday, the Minister of Health launched a laboratory facility for Liquid Chromatography with Tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS-MS) at the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Hajipur.
