Bezons, October 4, 2021 – 8:00am – RIBER, the world leader in molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) equipment serving the semiconductor industry, is announce an order for onen automatic MBE search system of a French customer.
The NanoMIR group at the University of Montpellier, a world leader in compound semiconductor materials based on antimonide, has ordered a fully automatic, multi-chamber Compact 21 DZ research MBE system. The equipment was financed by the Investments for the Future (PIA) program managed by the National Research Agency (ANR) (“HYBAT” project, ANR-21-ESRE-0026).
The system includes two chambers configured for MBE growth of compounds containing antimonides (III-Sb) and a third for plasma-assisted chemical vapor deposition (RP-CVD) of SiGe. To optimize process control, the system will be equipped with Riber’s new EZ-CURVE system.® instrument, a metrology tool allowing real-time in-situ precision control and characterization of the MBE growth process. This multi-chamber system will be applied to the development of new III-V infrared photonic materials deposited on silicon wafers and new quantum structures, areas of strategic interest across Europe.

Our existing Riber MBE facilities have summer exceptionally stabthe and reproduceible more the short & long term; this is a prerequisites for growing up the complex III-Sb structure necessary for our work. We already know the New EZ-CURVE® tool who we know go extend our reach in precision and perfection as we strive to develop more and more demanding equipments.“
